Emirates Users Check Your Internet Settings

The first step is to open the

My Computer folder by double clicking it, which you can find either on your Desktop or through your Explorer, and double click on the

folder.

You will now have the Dial Up Networking Folder open. And you now click once on

so that it is selected but not open.

Then Click on File,then on Properties.

The General folder

that open up looks like this. See if your settings are the same.

Next open the

Server Types folder which should look like this. Make sure that the following options are NOT ticked.

and

Now press the TCP button and this will pop up. These are the settings you should have. Press the

button to go back to the Folder above and then click on the

button again, and you are done with this part.

IMPORTANT : If you need to make any changes in your settings, you will need to have your Windows 95 disks ready for the changes to take effect.

IMPORTANT : If you do decide to make the changes to have your settings like below, you may be asked during the time after the Windows 95 disks are used, wether you want to keep more recent files which could be replaced.

IMPORTANT : It is strongly advised that everytime you are asked if your want to keep a more recent file rather than replacing it from an older file from your Windows 95 disk, that you always keep the more recent file.

First of all Click on your Start Button

and then choose Settings then Control Panel

In the

folder that opens up double click on the

icon, and this will open up.

Double click on

and this will open up. The boxes in the DNS Cofiguration folder should be filled in as shown.

Next click on the

folder tick the

at the bottom.

Then click on the

folder and tick the

Now the following four

should all have nothing selected inside, and then press the

button at the bottom to take you back to this.

Next double click on

and in the

folder make sure that only the

button is selected.

Now select the

folder and make sure that this is inside. and that the

is ticked as shown below..

Now on to the

folder where you first select

and you will see

and then by selecting you will see

Now you are done. If you have not needed to make any changes, just click on the

button, and then again on the button. That is twice on the Cancel button so that no changes are made. You can now be pretty sure your settings in this area are ok.

If you have made any changes to your configurations then click on the

button, and then again on the

button. This is what will happen. A popup like this will appear first.

Then on top of that a popup like this will appear.

Press the

button and this will appear.

From here on in you'll have to follow the directions.
