5: English language preferred, take other languages & Fonts to private chats
6: No over usage of CAPS, Caps are considered YELLING !!
7: No harassing of the OPs ( That WILL get you kicked/banned )
8: No harassing the ladies ( or the gents )
9: No Trolling - not the same as flirting which is fine as long as it's reciprocated
10: No rudeness toward other users or obnoxious behavior
11: No offending remarks about a user's ethnic, moral, or religious beliefs
12: No offensive racist remarks
13: No remarks about a user's sexual preferences
14: No asking or begging for OPs. We do the choosing!
15: No silly Flooding with text, action, ASCII characters/art or nicks changes
16: No nuking or other exploits which cause problems
17: No impersonating Regular's nicknames
18: No Unauthorised Bots
19: No clones - excepting Ops
20: No parking in the channel. Return a greeting; say something to show you are alive.
21: Only via gets to say fweeeeee
22: Only Free gets to say wiaaaaaa
23: No saying anything nice about ETISALAT

No swearing: Basically, #Dubai is supposed to be a family channel, and swearing offends people. You will be kicked for most blasphemies, profanities, obscenities, and racial epithets.Milder language is left to the discretion of the ops in channel. Some ops are more comfortable with this than others, and the channel is often a bit racier with one combination of ops present than it is with the next combination. That's okay. It may be a family channel, but it isn't a church. The guideline however should be what the users in channel at the time are comfortable with as well.

No Advertising:
This is another old rule. People advertising on channel or by join-message to every user
who joins are a pain.advertising your channel or a URL in another channel is considered very bad manners on IRC chat and is liable to get you kicked and/or banned. Please do not do it here.

Auto Greets: Join-message to every user who joins are a pain and very irritating and are only allowed to advertise our #Dubai's URL.

English Preferred: This is a tricky one. It seems rude to require that everyone else speak English. Most people don't mind a few minutes or phrases of another language. The problem is that the majority of our regular users and ops speak English as a primary or second language, and this is therefore primarily an English language channel. Allowing several people to join channel and monopolize conversation in another tongue will eventually convert the channel to multilingual, and it will become impossible for any other than a multilingual op to moderate it. We allow greetings and salutations in other languages, and occasional comments or short conversations, as a simple international courtesy. After that, please switch to English. If you can't or won't stop, you will be asked to leave.

Non-Standard English Fonts: Since almost all those using #Dubai have standard English language fonts, that is all we allow. Sorry, but unfortunately if you use Arabic fonts you will be told (nicely) not to use them in the channel.

CAPS: In case you are curious as to why capital letters are considered yelling, and considered rude, read on. According to some old chatters, Capital letters were supposed to be used for emergency notices in channel, back before color-text or bold-type was an option. Using caps for regular chat drew everyone's attention for no cause, rather like yelling for help as a joke. There may be a few systems still on line that utilize the old IBM-type all-caps keyboard, but they are rare. For the most part, caps are the user's option, but if you are warned not to use them and you continue, off with your head!

No Trolling : This is not the same as no flirting, which is fine. Trollers are people who join the channel and announce that they are there to pick up "any" women or "any" men. If they won't stop trolling, send them on their way please. Also be aware that a lot of trollers have learned to maintain a low friendly profile in channel and private message trash to their targets. They particularly avoid the ops. If users complain, boot the cruiser.

Ops-Begging: This one is obvious. This is annoying and silly. You might be warn or toyed with, but you'll soon be removed.
