Sorry for the delay in replying.
Real life takes over sometimes.

The site was actually started just for fun by me, way back a long time ago, simply to post information on regulars in #Dubai Undernet.

As we realized how sloppy and expensive Etisalat's service was, the site moved from Geocities, onto our MUCH.NET domain, - for the URL - in what we felt was a very funny way of putting it:- http://etisalat.charges.too.much.net/

The Alerts used to be fun to do, and soon needed a place of their own, thus the Alerts Pages.

Keeping the Alerts updated is difficult.

It requires Accurate Input. Re-verification. And then the write ups.

All 3 areas need to be regular. A little difficult for a "just for fun" website that is updated by a "group" of friends who don't even know each other in real life.

We exist for these reasons
( funny we never thought of why the pages exist before,
so we are making this list specially for you today) :-

1. To service the #Dubai Undernet IRC channel.
2. To Get better rates and service from our Internet Service Provider.

3. To provide UAE Internet related information.
4. To promote Dubai and the UAE.
5. To have fun! :)
